What did you think of MR. BEER brewing kit?

Is the beer you can make with MR.Beer better then the beer you can buy at the store?

YES I LOVE IT ITS GREAT I MADE BEER NOT TO LONG AGO IT TAKES A LITTLE OVER TWO WEEKS AND MAKES GREAT TASTING BEER
I NEVER THOUGHT ID SAY THIS BUT IT IS BETTER THAN BUDWEISER FOR REAL.
I WAS AFRAID TO DRINK ANYTHING I MADE MY SELF BUT THE FINSHED PRODUCT ASSTOUNDED ME I WAS DRUNK AS A SKUNK ME AND MY FATHER DRANK ALL 256OZ OF THE BEER I RECOMENED IT I EVEN GAVE FEEDBACK ON IT TO AMAZON.COM

  1. My husband tried it once – we froze for a week while it was brewing and then it tasted like crap. Buy your beer at the store!

    i use the "Brewers Best" (I think that is the name) kits. Turns out very good beer but then much more is involved.

    You're better off purchasing a PROPER beer brewing kit from a retailer such as Northern Brewer in Saint Paul, MN or online at http://www.northernbrewer.com

    I brew my own beer and have produced GREAT results with the equipment and the extract kits that I've purchased at Northern Brewer. Give them a try BEFORE you go with the Mr. Beer kit. You will have much better results.

    In addition, you will find plenty of support online and over the phone in tandem with Northern Brewer's staff and their forum, where hundreds of other home brewers can help you out along the way.

  6. I think it makes money for the manufacturers but it does not make good beer. To make good beer you need to go to a beer making store and join a beer making club if they have one.

  7. First os all pretty much everything is better than budweiser. As for Mr. Beer the kit is not very good, if you want good results buy the brewing kits with glass carboys. My favorite site for supplies is http://www.midwestsupplies.com. You can defintely make great beer in your own kitchen, just get the proper equipment, be sanitary, and use liquid yeast to make great beer.

    Entire start up for equipment should run less than $100, and about $25 for a beer kit.
